The Stroke Awareness 5k Run/Walk: In Memory of Ardith Felzke raised $1,240. Shown are, from left, Heather Sheski , DPT Department Manager at the OSF Rehabilitation Center, Tiffany Kleiman, race coordinator, and Jean Arvan, director of philanthropy at OSF. The race was held both virtually and physically on July 18 in Escanaba on the Felch Grade Trail. However, due to a rain storm that morning the physical race was canceled and the virtual race was extended to midnight on July 25. The race is held in memory of Kleiman’s grandmother, Ardith Felzke, who passed away from a stroke in July 2018 and all proceeds from the event, donations and sponsorships, are donated to the John & Melissa Besse Physical Rehabilitation & Wellness Center in Escanaba to assist those who are going through rehabilitation after suffering from a stroke. This is the second year that organizers have offered this race and despite COVID-19 were able to beat last year’s donation amount of $700.

Starting at $3.50/week.
