The Escanaba Eskymos played the Superior Central Cougars in the first round of High School Bowl and were defeated by a score of 220-210. Forty schools from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU-TV’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 42 years on the air. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on WNMU-TV Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Mondays at 3 p.m. Representing Escanaba, seated from left, are players Alex Laczhazy, team captain Annabelle Seppanen, Anna Davis and Lisette LaFave.
