ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.

Robert John Anderson, 40, of Marquette Branch Prison 1960 U.S. Highway 41 South, Marquette, pleaded guilty to one count of jails – prisoner possessing contraband.

He was sentenced to a minimum of one year and five months to a maximum of five years in prison. He was credited for 210 days already served. Anderson was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Cory Raymond Irving, 44, of 2842 18th Lane, Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture (schedules one, two and three except marijuana, meth, ecstasy, and cocaine). He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and credited for 157 days already served. Irving’s driver’s license will be suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days. He was ordered to pay $258 in fines and costs.

Haily Marie Hatting, 30, of Delta County Correctional Facility 2800 College Ave., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of jails – prisoner possessing contraband. She was sentenced to a minimum of one year and five months to a maximum of five years in prison.

She was credited for 196 days already served. Hatting was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Glen Thomas LaVance, 41, of 540 Delta Ave., Manistique, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture – meth. He was sentenced to a minimum of seven years to a maximum of 20 years in prison. He was credited for 294 days already served.

He was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Stephen Tyler Johnson, 23, of 813 Delta Ave., Gladstone, pleaded guilty to one count of operating while intoxicated – third. He was sentenced to a minimum of 18 months to a maximum of five years in prison and was credited for 176 days already served. He was ordered to pay $258 in fines and costs.

Jonathan Floyd Therrien, 28, of 1600 South 30th Street, pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy. He was sentenced to a minimum of 23 months to a maximum of 10 years in prison and credited for 179 days already served. Therrien also pleaded guilty to one count of operating while intoxicated. He was sentenced to 93 days in jail and credited for 179 days already served.

Therrien’s driver’s license will be suspended 30 days and restricted 150 days. He was ordered to pay $248 in fines and costs. The sentences are to be served concurrently.

Kathleen Lynn O’Connell, 32, of 343-1/2 North Ashland Ave., Green Bay, Wis., pleaded guilty to one count of controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy and one count of jails – furnishing contraband to prisoners. She was sentenced to a 12 months in jail and credited for 166 days already served. O’Connell’s driver’s license will be suspended 30 days and restricted 150 days. She will be placed on probation for 24 months. O’Connell shall complete residential outpatient rehabilitative services. She was ordered to pay $1,216 in fines and costs.

Tracy James Kohnert, 46, of 6015 Rivers 22nd Road, Gladstone, was convicted guilty of five counts of probation violations to his underlying offense of conspiracy to commit embezzlement – $50,000 or more but less than $100,000. Kohnert was sentenced to 12 months in jail and credited for 244 days already served. Kohnert was ordered to pay $50 in fines and costs.

Hillery Laakso, 46, of 1010 9th Ave. S., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count of operating while intoxicated – third. She was sentenced to nine months in jail and credited for 166 days. Laakso’s driver’s license was revoked.

She will be placed on probation for 24 months and must complete 60 hours of community service. Laakso was ordered to pay $1,648 in fines and costs.
