YMCA programs set for November

ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA will be offering programs every week in the month of November for area youth.

On Monday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Wells Childcare and Youth Center “Leaders Club” will be offered for teens looking for an opportunity to learn about leadership and responsibility with hands- on experience. This program is available for ages 13 – 18 and is free of charge.

Parents Night Out will be offered on Nov. 8 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the YMCA. Kids ages 5 – 12 will have the opportunity to play games, swim, and have a pizza dinner. Nov. 22 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. our Turkey Trot Sock Hop will take place at the Wells Childcare and Youth Center. Youth ages 5 – 10 will be involved in contests, games, and of course dancing! Dinner will be served.

The YMCA will also be offering Schools Out Days on Friday, Nov. 15 and Wednesday, November 27. These will take place at the Wells Childcare and Youth Center. Structured activities will take place 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with care available from 7:45 a.m. – 5: 15 p.m.
