ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court.

Jeffrey Robert Ashland, 47, of 6072 18.3 Road, Gladstone, was bound over on one count of conspiracy to commit delivery of a schedule 1, 2, or 3 drug (Buprenorphine) with Brenda Lee Childress. The seven-year felony carries a maximum fine of $10,000 and an additional $10,000 fine. The charge stems from a May 10, 2017, incident in Escanaba investigated by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET). Ashland posted a $2,500 personal recognizance bond and was released from police custody. He was ordered to have no illegal drugs. He must also submit to random drug testing.

Brenda Lee Childress, 44, of 6072 18.3 Road, Gladstone, was bound over on one count of conspiracy to commit delivery of a schedule 1, 2, or 3 drug (Buprenorphine) with Jeffrey Robert Ashland. The seven-year felony carries a maximum fine of $10,000 and an additional $10,000 fine. The charge stems from a May 10, 2017, incident in Escanaba investigated by UPSET. Childress posted a $750 bond, or 10 percent of a $7,500 bond, and was released from police custody. She was ordered to have no alcohol or illegal drugs. She cannot enter bars and cannot possess firearms. Childress must also submit to random drug testing. She was also ordered to have no contact with Ashland.

In an unrelated case, Ryan Jacob Green, 20, of 2010 15th Ave. N., Escanaba, was bound over on two counts of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture of a schedule 4 drug (Clonazepam), each a four-year felony carrying a maximum fine of $2,000. The charges stem from a March 15, 2017, incident in Escanaba investigated by UPSET. Bond was set at 10 percent of $7,500. Bond conditions include no alcohol or illegal drugs. Green must submit to random drug testing. He must be in his residence from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

In an unrelated case, Anntoinette Marie Cerisano, 29, of 1614 5th Ave. S., Escanaba, was bound over on one count of larceny in a building, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000. The charge stems from a Feb. 25 incident in Escanaba when she allegedly stole money from a bar investigated by Escanaba Public Safety. Cerisano posted $750, or 10 percent of a $7,500 bond, and was released from police custody. She was ordered to have no alcohol or illegal drugs. She cannot enter bars or possess firearms. She must submit to random drug testing. Cerisano must be in her residence from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims.

Dates will be set in circuit court for the above individuals to make a plea or schedule a trial.
