ESCANABA — Highline celebrates eight townships — Bark River, Cornell, Ford River, Lynn, Moore, Snover, Watertown, and Wells Townships — for being named Smart Rural Communities. ESCANABA — Bay Veterinary Clinic welcomes new owner and veterinarian, Dr. Lisa Gartland. Dr. Gartland was born and raised in Escanaba and has been practicing veterinary medicine for the past 10 years in Colorado. Dr. Gartland and spouse Nick Sundstrom purchased Bay Veterinary Clinic in December of 2022 from Dr. Sue Laskaska, the clinic is open and currently accepting new patients. NEW YORK (AP) — Struggling Bed Bath & Beyond warned on Thursday that there’s substantial doubt about the company’s ability to continue as a “going concern” as sales continue to drop and it struggles to attract shoppers. The company, based in Union, New Jersey, said that it’s looking at several options including restructuring its business in bankruptcy court, but it acknowledged that even those efforts may not be successful.
