Grab & Go to open in Escanaba

ESCANABA — Rick Micheau recently started a new venture called “Grab & Go “ at 922 Ludington Street. The new deli will feature menu options that cater to special dietary needs. There will be low-carb, low-cal, meat-free, gluten-free, sugar-free soups, sandwiches, meals & desserts. There will also be several full fat, high carb options as well.

Micheau is the owner/operator of Savory & Rich Catering Service since 1988, and Micheau’s Morsels Candy & Gifts since 1984.

The Micheau family also owned “Shellie’s Deli” in Flat Rock. Micheau will also be featuring some of the favorites from the old deli. Those items are their famous lasagna, daily hot baked pasties, and desserts including banana cake, carrot cake and jumbo cinnamon rolls.

Hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The store’s motto is “Grab & Go, Food Fast, Not Fast Food”. The concept is all about the quick turnaround. Walk in, grab a menu, and any of our fresh bakery, go to the order station, place your order, visit the self-serve area for drinks, snacks, and cold items. Then to the pick-up/pay station.

The planned day of opening is October 25 with a grand opening planned for November 1.
