Jalyn and Kevin Gendron

GENDRON — Kevin Gendron married his highchool sweetheart Jalyn Dagenais during a 5 p.m. ceremony on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on Jan. 29. The ceremony was performed by the groom’s stepfather, Bill Draze.

Jalyn is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Dagenais of Escanaba. Kevin is the son of Janet Draze of Escanaba and Dave Gendron of Gladstone.

The maid of honor was Codi Jenshak. Bridesmaids were Brianna Dombrowski, Karissa Rudden and Gabrielle Movalson. The best man was Kyle Gendron. Groomsmen were Jared Dagenais, Mitchell Dagenais and Nick Vandermissen.

Following the ceremony, a reception was also held on the beach. A total of 41 family members and friends traveled to Punta Cana to attend the wedding.

The couple resides in Gladstone. Jalyn works as the marketing and promotions coordinator at Elmer’s County Market and is a Northern Michigan University graduate. Kevin works as a project manager assistant at Payne and Dolan and is a Lake Superior State University graduate. Both are graduates of Escanaba High School.

The couple has a delayed honeymoon to Dublin and London planned for March 2020.
