Rock Memorial Day ­service planned

ROCK — The Rock American Legion will hold its Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. at the Rock Cemetery on W. Mapleridge Rd. Immediately following, the Rock Legion Auxiliary will serve coffee and snacks at the Senior Center, 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd. All are invited to join in honoring veterans and socializing.

Elks to hold Mother’s Day brunch May 12

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks 354 will hold Mothers Day brunch May 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For parties over six, call the club for reservations at 906-786-2294, Wednesdays and Fridays after 4 pm. As always, the public is welcome.

DAV to hold meeting

ESCANABA — The Disabled American Veterans meetings have been reinstated. Meetings take place every first Monday of the month at the Purple Heart building in Escanaba at 7 a.m.

Sons of the American Legion to meet May 8

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Sons of American Legion #71 Squadron will meet May 8 at 6 p.m., for voting in new officers for 2024-25 year.

Eagles Memorial Service May 11 in Escanaba

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles will conduct a memorial service of love and remembrance for all deceased Aerie and Auxiliary members on Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. in the Eagles Hall, at 608 Ludington.

Deceased Aerie members to be honored are: Thomas R. Anderson, D, Thomas Anderson, Robert (Bruce) Carlson and William F. Cook. Deceased Auxiliary membered to be honored are Patricia Beauchamp, Nancy Gage, Gayle Gill, Patricia Ohman, Arlene Paulson, Catherine Plank and Christine Trepanier.

All family and friends are encouraged to attend the service, which is open to the public. Dessert and coffee will be served following service. For more information, call the Eagles at 906-786-3451.
