All-you-can-eat breakfast at Rapid River Legion

RAPID RIVER — American Legion Post 301 will host its 2nd Sunday “All-You-Can-Eat” Breakfast at the Rapid River American Legion Hall on Sunday, April 14 from 8 a.m to noon. Children age five and under eat free, and children between age 6 and 12 eat at a reduced rate.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, April 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by Red River Band.

There is a door cost and free-will donation lunch will be available. For more information, call Lucy at 356-6459.

All proceeds benefit the senior corporation.

Genealogical Society to meet April 22 at Bay

ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, April 22, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at its new location at the Joseph Heirman University Center, room 961, at Bay College in Escanaba. Bring your research problems or other family history stories to the meeting.

Amvets hold event to pay for chair lift

ESCANABA — The Sons of Amvets are holding a fundraiser on Saturday, April 27, to help pay for the chair lift that was recently installed at the Amvets hall for disabled veterans.

The Grand Design Band, along with the band JD & Co., will be performing for you on from 7 p.m. to midnight. A $10 donation will be collected at the door.

Free concert Saturday

ESCANABA — The Remnants and Menominee River Chorus will be presenting “Spring into Harmony ’24” at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Escanaba, April 13, at 3 p.m.

The event will be free to all. A free will offering will be collected for local charities.
