Author to speak Dec. 7

“p2″>ESCANABA — Dr. Andrew Huff, author of “The Truth About Wuhan,” will discuss his book at Bay  College in the Catherine Bonifas Building, room 221, on Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

Holiday story hour set

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library will hold a story hour on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The holiday-themed event is for children age 2 to 10.

Children will enjoy stories, create a craft, sing holiday songs and decorate cookies.

The story hour is sponsored by the Friends of the Gladstone Library.

Escanaba Elks memorial service Sunday

ESCANABA — Escanaba Elks Lodge #354 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks will hold their annual Memorial Day Service on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 12:30 p.m. The service will be commemorated to the memories of the departed members who have died in the past year. The service will be performed by the officers of the lodge, with musical selections performed by the Ammels, accompanied by Marie Peterson on piano.

The Memorial Day Service is open to all members, as well as the family & friends of the departed. The Elks Auxiliary will host a luncheon in the dining room following the service.

Bazaar set for Sunday

ESCANABA — The St. Anthony and St. Thomas Annual Dinner Bazaar will be held Sunday, Dec. 3, serving from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In addition to the dinner, guests can enjoy a bake sale, craft sale, silent auction, silver dollar booth, raffles and 50/50. The cost is $15 for adults, $7 for ages 6-15, and children age 5 and under free are.

The event will take place in the St. Thomas parish hall 1820 9th Ave N, Escanaba.
