Elks Auxiliary to meet
ESCANABA — The Elks Auxiliary will hold its February meeting on Thursday, February 3. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:45 p.m. with the meeting to follow. Contact Peggy at 786-4278 or text 280-1585 with dinner reservation/cancelations no later than Monday, January 31 at noon.
MTU dean’s list
HOUGHTON — Local students are listed on the Michigan Technological University Deans list. They include: Blake Krouth of Perkins, 4.0 dean’s list; dean’s list 3.5-3.99 – Wyatt Madden of Gladstone, Sam Jensen of Gladstone and Ryan Moreau of Escanaba.
Dance planned at Rock Community Center
ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, February 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Come enjoy the music of Ron Jay and the Country Strangers. There is a fee to attend and a free will donation for lunch. For more information call Alice at 356-6588. All proceeds benefit the Senior Corporation.

OMAHA, Neb. — College of Saint Mary announces its Dean’s List and President’s Honor Roll for outstanding undergraduate academic performance for the Fall 2021 Semester. Included on the list are Emily Sherk of Rock.
NARFE 1900 meeting
MARQUETTE — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet by Zoom only at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 26.
Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the Chapter email distribution and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.
Any active or retired federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.
