American Legion sets meal schedule
GLADSTONE — Gladstone American Legion Post 71 will not be holding steak dinners in November or Decemeber. The dinners are slated to begin again in January of 2022. More details will be announced at a later date.
Taco Tuesdays will continue each Tuesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
No breakfast will be held in November, but breakfast will return Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Community Christmas Caroling Gladstone
GLADSTONE — Gladstone area churches are planning to join together for a community Christmas caroling event on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m. Participants will meet at Memorial United Methodist Church on Lake Shore Drive in Gladstone in the parking lot and will travel in small groups to the Gladstone assisted living homes and nursing homes. Singers will also visit and sing for some of the area’s shut-ins.
Everyone is welcome to join the event. After caroling, Christmas cookies, hot chocolate and coffee will be served at Memorial United Methodist Church.

Meat pies for sale
ESCANABA — St. Anthony’s Church will be holding a meat pie sale Dec. 9 and 10, with pick up at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba from 1 to 4 p.m. The ten-inch pies, which are half pork and half beef, must be pre-ordered. Call or text Debbie at 906-399-4259.
