ESCANABA — Escanaba Schools Indian Education regrets to confirm that there will not be a Fall Feast.

There will be a Parent Committee meeting on Monday, Oct. 18 at 5:15 p.m., Upper Elementary, located at 1500 Ludington Street, in the teacher’s lounge. All are welcome but are asked to call Janine at 786-7462, ext. 2216 for important information before attending.

Toy drive, drawing planned in Escanaba

ESCANABA — Kindness Rocks Delta County and Pioneer TV and Appliance are asking the community to open their hearts by donating a new toy valued at $10 or more. The toys will be donated to children’s hospitals — a bucket-list request by Kambria, a local 10-year-old who was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), an aggressive and difficult to treat brain tumor. She died Sept. 18.

Every donation enters the donor into a drawing for a $1,000 store credit at Pioneer TV and Appliance.

All donations must be brought to Pioneer TV and Appliance with receipt of purchase and must meet the qualifying requirements to be entered in the drawing. The drawing will be held on Kindness Rocks Delta County Facebook page live on Oct. 2.
