The Garden Peninsula Historical Society

GARDEN — The Garden Peninsula Historical Society is now open. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Appointments can be made for those unable to visit on those days by calling Brenda Tibbetts at 906-644-7609.

Names are being accepted for the Honoree Dinner, which will be held on Sept. 19 at the Garden Community Building. The dinner honors all past and present residents of the Garden Peninsula who have reached 80 years of age. Please submit names to brendatibbetts69@gmail.com or call the number listed above.

Lakeview Cemetery seeks items for sale

ESCANABA — Lakeview Cemetery is asking for donations to sell in its 2021 Annual Rummage Sale. Donations will be accepted Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Friday, July 2. Lakeview Cemetery is a non-profit cemetery. Donations go for upkeep of the cemetery.

No clothing, mattresses, or televisions will be accepted.

Donations can be picked up by calling Sharon at 906-553-2403.

Delta Coin Club

GLADSTONE — The Delta Coin Club meets the second Tuesday of every month at 5 p.m. at 817 Delta Ave. in Gladstone. Anyone interested in coin collecting is welcome.

Village sets hours

ESCANABA — U.P. Steam & Gas Engine Antique Village is open on Thursdays now through Labor Day. The village and museum shop will be open from noon to 4 p.m.

Women’s AA meetings

ESCANABA — The women’s AA meetings held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday are moving to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Escanaba. Use the back entrance.
