Legion plans meeting
FLAT ROCK — The next monthly meeting of the Escanaba River Legion Post 115 and the Auxiliary is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 3 and will be held at the Escanaba Township Hall at 7:30 p.m.
Three blood drives planned in Escanaba
ESCANABA — The Red Cross will be holding blood drives at the Wellspring Community Church, located in the Delta Plaza Mall, on Jan. 12 from noon to 6 p.m., Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Jan. 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The blood drives are open to the community. To make an appointment, call 800-RED-CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org, sponsor keyword “ESCANABA.”
Those donating between Jan. 1 and 31 will be automatically entered for a chance to win a Super Bowl LVI getaway in Los Angeles, Calif., for them and a guest.
Service office hours
HERMANSVILLE — Mike Dellisse, Menominee County Veteran’s Service Officer, will be holding office hours on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Floriano Stecker Kelly American Legion Hall in Hermansville.
Veterans or widows that need assistance with the Veterans Administration, claims with the Administration, Agent Orange, headstones, grave-markers, or information on the Oscar Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain should see Dellisse on visit to Hermansville.
If you have any questions on the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund for Menominee County, Dellisse can help you.
You need not belong to any service organization to see Dellisse, his services are free.
