Rapid Readers to meet Thursday at Jack’s
RAPID RIVER — On Thursday, Aug. 13 at 10 a.m., the Rapid Readers will gather at Jack’s for a discussion of “The Huntress” by Kate Quinn and “The Great Leader” by Jim Harrison.
The novel “The House at the Edge of the Night” by Catherine Bonner will remain as the reading choice to be discussed at the Sept. 17 meeting.

Holy Name Class of 1964 Ladies Luncheon
ESCANABA — The Holy Name Class of 1964 Ladies Luncheon has been canceled for 2020.
Next year’s luncheon has been scheduled for Aug. 18, 2021.
