Rudenberg benefit set
ESCANABA — A spaghetti dinner benefit will be held for the family of John A. Rudenberg, on Saturday, March 28 at the Eagles Club at 608 Ludington St. in Escanaba from 3 to 7 p.m. Rudenberg died on Feb. 25.
Advance tickets are available at the Eagles Club Bar after 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
There will be raffles and 50/50 drawings, a live auction and end of the event door prizes. Music follows in the club by Crossing Border from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
Wells Lions raffle winner
WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle for the week of March 2 is Mark Hager of Gladstone, who won $100.
Third Sunday breakfasts
ROCK — The Rock Lions Third Sunday All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast will take place on the third Sunday of March, June, September, and December from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rock Lions Club, located on M-35 in Rock. There is a cost for the breakfast, but children under 5 eat free.

ESCANABA — The Elks will be having a Sunday Brunch on March 8 from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m.
MARSP March meeting
MANISTIQUE — The Retired School Personnel of Schoolcraft and Eastern Delta Counties will meet at The 40 Bar and Grill in Manistique at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11. Amy Cardamone-Rayner will speak on “Holistic Healing.” Those planning to attend may call 283-3209 by Sunday evening, March 8.
There is a cost for the luncheon, payable at the door. New members are always welcome.
Rapid Readers to meet
RAPID RIVER — The next Rapid Readers meeting will take place Thursday, March 12 at 10 a.m. at Jack’s Restaurant in Rapid River. The March book is Robert Galbraith’s “The Cuckoo’s Calling.”
“Speaking Truth to Power” by Anita Hill is the April 16 reading selection.

Relic Riders to hold wrap-up pizza party
RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Relic Riders will host their annual after-the-show pizza party for members on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Swallow Inn on Main Street Rapid River.
AAUW to meet March 26
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Area Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW) will celebrate Women’s History Month on March 26 with a “Tribute to Famous AAUW Members, Past and Present.”
The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, located at 500 Ogden Ave., with a short business meeting. Following the meeting, members and guests will explore the lives of ten barrier-breaking AAUW members from various professions. Coffee and dessert will be provided.

Choral Society Spring Concert set for April
ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Choral Society will present its Spring Concert on Sunday, April 5 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Escanaba under the direction of Ann Wood. The concert will feature songs of peace and war including Pete Seeger’s “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?” and “Mass In Time of Wars” by Joseph Haydn.
The Choral Society will be accompanied by John Ignatowski on the piano and organ and will be joined by hand bells, oboe, flute and violin. Laura Robinson will play the oboe obbligato on Jon Rutter’s “The Lord is My Shepherd.” A free-will donation will be accepted.
