Holy Name High School Class of 1960 to meet

ESCANABA — The Holy Name High School Class of 1960 will hold a reunion planning meeting and lunch on Oct. 17, 12:30, at Hereford and Hops. Those attending should call 786-3415 no later than Oct. 15 to make a reservation or to obtain further information.

Retired school ­personnel meeting

MENOMINEE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Central time. The luncheon will be served at noon Central time followed by the program and a short business meeting. There is a cost for the harvest dinner lunch. The program will feature Kristine Artez speaking on the Silver Sneakers fitness program. DAV to hold meeting

ESCANABA — The next scheduled meeting for the DAV Chapter 24 will be held on Monday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Military Order of the Purple Heart building, located at 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba.

All disabled veterans are welcome.

Amvets to meet

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123 in Escanaba will host the band Angels and Outlaws on Sept. 27 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Also, on Sept. 29 at 4 p.m., the Amvets Ladies Auxiliary 123 will host a “football bingo” fundraiser. The proceeds will go to the Salvation Army for Thanksgiving baskets.

Reflections of Grace

ESCANABA — Reflections of Grace Ministries will be at Blessed Hope Baptist Church Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. Clare and Janice Bishop and daughter Alyssa Jones and her husband Greg will be presenting an evening of music and message from scripture. From Lower Michigan, the Bishop family travels to small churches throughout Michigan encouraging pastors and people, believing the backbone of Christianity in America is small churches.

Escanaba Eagles to hold breakfast Sunday

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve their fifth breakfast Sunday, Sept. 29 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Eagles Hall, located at 608 Ludington St. in Escanaba.

The public is welcome to attend. There is a fee to attend the breakfast. For more information, call the Escanaba Eagles Club at 786-3451.

Alano Club to celebrate anniversary Sept. 29

GLADSTONE — The 36th anniversary celebration of the Delta Alano Club will be Sunday, Sept. 29. The day’s activities begin at 3:36 p.m. with the annual meeting. Guest speaker will be Cory L. A potluck supper will follow the talk. Friends of Dr. Bob and Bill W. are encouraged to attend. The Delta Alano Club is located at 601 Michigan Ave., Gladstone. Veterans service officer sets office hours

HERMANSVILLE, Mich. — Mike Dellisse, Menominee County Veterans Service Officer, will be holding office hours on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Floriano-Stecker-Kelly American Legion Hall in Hermansville.

Veterans or widows that need assistance with the Veterans Administration, claims with the Administration, Agent Orange, headstones, gravemarkers, or information on the Oscan Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iron Mountain should see Dellisse on visit to Hermansville.

If you have any questions on the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund for Menominee County Dellisse can help.

You need not belong to any service organization to see Dellisse. His services are free.
