ESCANABA — Over 80 senior citizens gathered at North Woods Place Senior Living on Thursday, Jan. 25 for an Enchanted Evening. Head Chef Leslie Mattson prepared a gourmet dinner, wine and beverages were served by North Woods Place staff, and Phil Ollero provided the entertainment for the guests’ listening and dancing pleasure. While the seniors took advantage of the opportunity to primp themselves a little extra, staff, too, provided a little dazzle to the evening.

According to “Healthy Aging” the health benefits of functions like the Enchanted Evening for seniors range from improving their physical health to creating strong social connections that increase their sense of happiness and wellbeing. Because of this, North Woods Place Senior Living is very diligent in providing many activities and events, not only for our residents, but also for community seniors. We believe the vibrancy of our community supports our belief that “LIFE is a special occasion.” So every day and every person is valued with compassion, excellence, integrity, humility and fun.
