RSVP advisory ­committee meeting

ESCANABA — The Delta County Advisory Council of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will hold its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Community Action Agency, 507 1st Avenue North, Escanaba, MI 49829. RSVP is sponsored by the Community Action Agency & Human Resources Authority, Inc. The meeting is open to the public. If interested please call, Lori Giuliani at (906) 786-7080, Ext. 136 on or before Tuesday, Feb. 13. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

RSVP is funded by The Corporation for National and Community Service, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services/Aging and Adult Services Agency and the United Way of Delta County.

Foster Grandparent ­in-service Tuesday

ESCANABA — The Delta County Foster Grandparent Program will be having an in-service meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Delta Plaza Mall Food Court, located at 301 N. Lincoln Road in Escanaba.

Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.

The Foster Grandparent Program is administered by MDS Community Action Agency, located at 507 First Avenue North in Escanaba.

Elks fish fries stopped

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks has discontinued serving Friday fish fries until further notice.

However, the Elks will continue with the Wednesday pub baskets, Friday card raffle, monthly steak nights and, of course, Sunday brunch. The next brunch will be Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Elks 150th Anniversary Celebration will take place on Feb. 17 starting at 5 p.m. Food will be provided and this event is open to the public. Come down to celebrate the Elks, your Lodge and all that Elkdom has to offer.

Rock dance on Feb. 11

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd, on Sunday, Feb. 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Music will be provided by Angels & Outlaws. There is a cost at the door; a free will donation will be accepted for lunch.
