ESCANABA — The Delta County Jaycees donated $500 to the annual Liferides event through OSF. This is the 34th year of Life Rides, which provided free rides to those in the area in need of a taxi on New Years Eve.

“The Delta County Jaycees are proud to sponsor a project like this,” said Kassandra Howard, co-president of the Jaycees.

Christopher Germain, co-president said that it is all about the community for the Jaycees.

“We focus on projects and ways to make a positive impact on our community,” he said.

At the end of the year, the Jaycees make donations to various projects in the community. The Jaycee membership votes to decide what projects will receive funding. This year, OSF Life Rides received the most amount of votes.
