Legion of Merit presented to Robinette for serving 40 years

GERMANY — Air Force Col. Timothy Robinette has retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving honorably for 40 years. Lt. Gen. Mark A. Ediger, surgeon general of the Air Force, presented Robinette with the Legion of Merit to recognize his outstanding achievements as an Air Force medical professional.

Robinette was last serving as a surgeon with the headquarters of U.S. Air Forces In Europe and Air Forces Africa, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

He joined the Air Force in 1986 through the Air Force ROTC’s Pre-Health Professions Scholarship, after serving nine years in the Navy. Robinette subsequently graduated that year with a bachelor’s degree from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, Mich., and earned a doctorate of medicine in 1990 from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Md.

Robinette is the son of Carol and Harold Robinette of Schaffer. He is also the husband of Mary Robinette. Robinette is a 1978 graduate of Bark River-Harris High School.
