Sandra (Papineau) and James St. Peter, Sr.

ESCANABA — James J. St. Peter, Sr., and Sandra (Papineau) St. Peter were married in Escanaba July 20, 1968, and again in a Sacramental Mass with family and friends at St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

They had three children, James Jr., Jason and Alycia, and cared for several others at various times. They loved camping, sailboating, dancing, and enjoying all kinds of music.

James served in the U.S. Navy Air Corp.

They have 10 adult grandchildren, four are married, and have three great-grandchildren.

The St. Peters lived three years in Hebron, N.D., and 13 years in Lave Havasu City, Ariz. before returning home permanently in 1999.

James Sr. is a 50 years member of Marquette Iron Workers Union.
