Art and Mary (Gallagher) Mayers

GLADSTONE — Art and Mary (Gallagher) Mayers, of Gladstone, are celebrating 50 years of marriage.

The couple was married Aug. 22, 1973, in Calumet, Mich. Attending at the wedding were Barb and Joe Schultz.

Art worked at Mead Paper until his retirement in 2005. He is an avid Tigers and Lions fan and enjoys gardening.

Mary was a housewife. She enjoys cooking and crochet.

The couple has two sons, John and Mike. They also have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
