Joseph and Joyce Lippens

BARK RIVER — Joseph Lippens and the former Frances Joyce Martin were married 60 years ago on May 13, 1961, at Sacred Heart Church in Schaffer.

The couple marked the anniversary of their marriage with a dinner party and a two-week vacation to Alaska with family.

Joseph was a 30 year employee of the Mead Paper Company.

The couple enjoys gardening, going to camp and being with their grandchildren. They are members of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Bark River.

Joseph and Frances are parents to six children: Tim, Tammie (John), Todd (Jeannie), and Brian (Tracey) Scott (Shelly) of Bark River, and Lori (Jamie) of Anchorage, Alaska.

They also have 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The couple resides in Bark River.
