DuBois celebrate 60 years of marriage

DUBOIS — The former Anita Motto and Ken DuBois were married May 9, 1959 at St. George Catholic Church in Bark River.
Original attendants were Janice Bal, sister of the bride; Barbara Bailey, friend; Deana Kauffman, cousin of the bride; Sherry Hansen, sister of the groom; Glenn Jamar, friend; Tony Otradovec, cousin of the bride; and John Hafeman, friend. Clary Veeser, sister of the bride, was flower girl. Ken, who is now retired, worked as an operating engineer for Fox Balley Construction. He also owned a Christmas tree business, which is still family-owned.
Ken’s hobbies include restoring antique tractors.
Anita, a busy homemaker, helped manage the family tree farm business. Anita enjoys gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The couple’s children are daughters, Lisa (Jay) Farley of Spalding, and Denise (Todd) Kammerzelt of Sheboygan, Wis.; and son, Greg (Lynn) DuBois of Spalding. Ken and Anita have seven grandchildren: Kenlyn (Mike) Laureys of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Jayson Farley of Spalding, Adam (Jessica) DuBois of Spalding, Alissa (Kevin) Callahan of Carey, Ben DuBois of Spalding, Caitlin (Scott) Murphy of Sheboygan, Wis., and Ashley (Rick) Westrate of Lincoln Park, Ill. They also have six great-grand children: Owen and Madelyn Laureys, Timmy DuBois, Harper and Henry Murphy, and Scout Opgenorth.
Out-of-town guests traveled from Wisconsin, Illinois and Arizona to celebrate the 60th anniversary.
