NEW LIFE

ESCANABA — Sunday morning worship services will be held at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for both services. The church offers a variety of children and adult discipleship groups in both small and large group settings with specific needs in mind. “Connections” fellowship is held immediately following each service.

Men’s Bible study gathers Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Christian men’s fellowship coffee hour follows at 8:15 p.m. at Culver’s.

GLADSTONE — Sunday worship service will take place at 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. Fellowship time will be held at 10:30 a.m. Grace Kids will meet at 11 a.m. during the service. This is for children in nursery through fifth grade.

HYDE/POWERS — St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hyde will observe the Second Sunday of Advent at its 8:30 a.m. Sunday worship service. Pastor Ronald Zindler will preach on the Old Testament Lesson from Isaiah, Isaiah 40: 1-11. The Lord’s Supper will also be celebrated. St. Paul’s sister parish, Grace Lutheran in Powers, will use the same readings and sermon at its service at 9:15 a.m. CST. The public is invited to either church service. ESCANABA — The 10:30 a.m. worship service of the Second Sunday of Advent will be led by Pastor Bo Lange and liturgist Joyce Schrock. A musical offering will be given by Bill Rinne and music director D. Ann Wood. The church’s annual Advent/Christmas concert will be performed by the Sanctuary Choir in the church sanctuary at 7 p.m.
