EDITOR: Those of us who love and cherish all life as God’s creation hate having to see this slaughter published in our Daily Press newspaper. Isn’t there enough killing and bloodshed in the world already? Why are we not teaching our children a love and respect for all life especially where we live, in the great U.P. of Michigan called “God’s Country”? EDITOR: This is in response to Mindy Grant’s letter in the September 30 Daily Press. We don’t need more advanced programs to feed kids. What we need is more responsible parents to go to work and feed their kids not the taxpayer feeding their kids. There was summer nutrition programs before COVID. There are help wanted signs everywhere. All businesses are short of help because they can’t get people to work. If they do hire someone most of the time they don’t even show up for work.
