Menominee County, Michigan. A fatal shooting took place at a residence in Harris Township in the early hours of Wednesday, August 28, 2025. One adult male is deceased. This was an isolated incident and there is no ongoing danger to the public.

On August 28, 2025, at approximately 12:19 a.m., troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Iron Mountain Post responded to a 911 call reporting that there had been a shooting at a residence on County Road 551. Troopers arrived and found a 34-year-old man from Wilson, MI had been shot. Troopers and EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced deceased on scene.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. Further details will be provided as the investigation proceeds.
