Big Bay de Noc conquers Ojibwe in soccer, volleyball
GARDEN CORNERS — Northern Lights League action continues to heat up in both soccer and volleyball. Big Bay de Noc played host to Ojibwe Charter Academy in both sports on Monday. Here’s what went down.
After trailing 2-1 at halftime, BBdN soccer caught fire in the second half to earn a 6-3 win over the Eagles and improve to 3-0 in NLL action.

After suffering a three-set loss to Mackinac island on Saturday, BBdN volleyball got back in the win column with a 25-24, 25-10, 25-8 victory over the Eagles.
” Before the game we talked about staying strong mentally and playing the game we know how to play,” Black Bears coach Angie Carley said. “The girls did just that.”
Macy Peterson earned 10 aces, nine assists and eight digs. Caragan Thill earned eight kills, five digs and five aces. Payton Pederson added 10 digs and a quartet of aces.
Tatum Harvey finished with nine digs. Dixie Morris finished with six assists and three digs. Lila Morris churned a trio of aces, kills and digs. Destiny Bleau earned a pair of aces and a dig.
