Meet the Athlete: Clay Peterson

The Mid Peninsula Wolverines continue their 2025-26 season Friday as they host the Carney-Nadeau Wolves. On Jan. 20, 2026 Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got the opportunity to sit down with Peterson to discuss a variety of topics.
Adam Hinch: So Clay, when did you get into basketball?
Clay Peterson: I got into basketball in sixth grade when I came here.
AH: Do you play any other sports?
CP: I tried to play football this season but it got cancelled which sucked.
AH: What sport is your favorite?
CP: Football is my favorite.
AH: What do you like to do in your free time?
CP: I like to ride with my friend Briceson and just hang out.
AH: What kind of music do you like?
CP: I like rap?
AH: What is your favorite subject in school?
CP: Social Studies.
AH: What is your favorite food?
CP: Pizza.
AH: What is your favorite soda?
CP: Coke.
Of you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go?
CP: I would like to go to Italy.
AH: What is your favorite NFL team?
CP: The Green Bay Packers.
AH: What is your favorite NBA team?
CP: The Los Angeles Lakers.
What is your play after high school?
CP: Go to college to become a doctor.
