Eskymos get three in double figures as they take down Emeralds
MANISTIQUE — Three seniors stepped up and it proved to be the difference as Escanaba girls basketball team defeated Manistique 50-33 here Tuesday.
Susie Moberg had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds and Landry Bray also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds and Ava Stalboerger also had 12 points in the contest.
“I’m really proud of our girls,” Eskymos coach Tracy Hudson said. “This gives the team some much needed momentum as we prepare for Houghton on Thursday and Negaunee on Friday.
Sophomore Pressley Spettel led the way for the Emeralds with 11 points and freshman Kaylee Kangas had eight.
The Eskymos return to action tonight as they host Houghton.
