Area volleyball action

The Big Bay de Noc volleyball team picked up a win over the Rapid River in a CUP Conference matchup. The Black Bears started off slow but won in four sets. (25-20, 24-26, 25-8, 25-23)

Destiny Bleau had another great game for serving as she had zero errors in 25 attempts.

“I’m proud of these girls,” Black Bears coach angie Carley said. “They’ve put in the work mentally and physically and it shows.”

Bleau had 24 digs to go with eight aces and five kills, Charlee Klink had 34 assists to go with three kills, two digs and one ace, Caragan Flath had 13 kills, seven digs, three aces and two blocks and Payton Pederson had 15 digs five kills four aces and one assist.

The Carney-Nadeau Wolves picked up a big win defeating Bark River-Harris in four sets. (25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 25-22)

Elodie Lenca had 18 digs to go with 13 kills and two aces, Jenna Ernest had 14 digs and two kills, Paige Jardeen had 21 assists to go with four aces and three digs, Blake Polfus-Coleman had 17 digs and Meadow Walcher and Kenna Thiry each had 11 digs.
