Schone, Sundquist earn All-State honors

GLADSTONE — Senior pitcher Tia Schone and catcher Lauren Sundquist have each left their own mark on Gladstone’s softball program.
They each earned one final accolade from the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association. Both earned First Team All-State honors for their efforts in 2025.
Sundquist earned First Team honors for the third time in her decorated career, earning First Team honors as a freshman and First team honors as a catcher in 2024. She finished her senior season hitting .624 with 13 home runs and 54 RBIs while ripping 11 doubles and six triples with an OPS of 1.770 and zero errors behind the plate.

She will play collegiately at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
After missing her junior season due to a knee injury, Schone earned First Team All-State honors as a pitcher for the second time in her career. Schone was 25-4 with a 0.842 ERA while striking out 273 batters across 149 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .157 batting average. She also accumulated a .512 batting average with 10 doubles, four home runs and 49 RBIs as a batter. She will play collegiately at Grand Rapids Community College.
