BR-H baseball swept by Norway
NORWAY — A pair of dominating pitching performances led Norway baseball to a doubleheader sweep over Bark River-Harris taking game one 9-2 and game two 10-0.
In game one Norway senior Cole Baij struck out 15 batters as the hurler led the Trojans past the Broncos. Baij gave up two runs on two hits over six innings with one walk.
Owen Baij collected three hits in three at bats in the contest.
The Knights got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Landon Amundson tripled to left field, scoring one. Owen Baij singled to center field to score a run and Carter Cazzola had an RBI single and Elliott Kraemer singled to score a run and the Knights led 4-0.
The Knights added to their lead in the bottom of the second inning as Amundson had a two-run double. Owen Baij singled to score a run and then tagged up on a flyball to score and the Knights led 8-0 after two.
In game two, Bryce Adams picked up the win allowing zero runs on three hits with eight strikeouts and zero walks.
The Knights took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI single by Cazzola and a two-run single by Cameron Varda.
The Knights added to the lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Adams to give the Knights a 4-0 lead.
The Knights scored three runs in the fourth and fifth innings to put the game away.
