MUNISING –Another clash with one of the U.P.’s top teams did not bode well for Escanaba boys’ basketball.

The Eskymos dropped a road clash to No. 5 Munising 69-38 on Tuesday.

The Mustangs (14-2) claimed a 27-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Junior Taylor Asgaard and sophomore Hayven Sandoval-Nolde paced the Eskymos with nine points each. Senior Alex Morgan and sophomore Braden Cooper added five points each. Senior Adam Prey totaled four points. Senior Brayden Jupe and junior Owen Fields netted three points each.

The Eskymos trip to face Norway at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
