Esky boys fall to Menominee
MENOMINEE –Menominee junior Tanner Theuerkauf was bottled to nine points, but Escanaba boys’ basketball struggled to generate a consistent offensive attack.
The Eskymos fell to the Maroons 57-31 on Tuesday.
Esky (7-9, 1-4 Great Northern Conference) mustered nine points in the first half as Menominee (9-6, 3-2) led 28-9 at the half.
Junior Taylor Asgaard led the Eskymos with 10 points. Senior Javon Stevenson added seven points while senior Nick Garcia and junior Owen Fields added six points each. Darrent Butler led all players with 13 points.
The Eskymos trip to face No. 3 Kingsford at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Menominee hosts No. 1 Marquette at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
