Eskymos battle in Marquette Tournament

MARQUETTE — With postseason play a month away any game action is welcomed.
Escanaba volleyball hit the road Saturday to battle in the Marquette tournament.
The Eskymos defeated Ironwood (25-20, 25-12) and Gwinn (25-9, 25-13) before falling to Kingsford 25-21, 25-11.
The orange and black were then defeated Manistique, their regular season finale foe on Halloween, 25-18, 25-22 before falling to Marquette 27-26, 23-25, 7-15.
For the day, Harlee Coolman eared 73 digs, two kills, two aces and an assist. Clara Braun produced 45 assists, 22 digs and four aces. Katey Lamb chruned 40 digs, 21 kills, six aces and two blocks. Lily Nelson totaled 13 kills, nine digs and an ace. Landry Bray contributed 12 kills, three blocks and two digs. Susie Moberg added six kills, a block and a dig. Mary Kate Tourangeau finished with 35 assists, eight aces, seven digs and a trio of kills. Brooklyn Beauchamp produced 13 kills, eight digs, two blocks and an assist. Bet Montal churned 16 kills, nine digs and two blocks. Breleigh Reinhart totaled 10 digs and a pair of aces. Grayson LaMarche produced 27 kills, 11 digs, nine blocks and five aces. Ava Stalboerger earned 10 kills, three digs and a block.
The Eskymos host Iron Mountain at 7 p.m. this evening.
