ESCANABA — As we continue to wind down on the 2024 racing season at Escanaba Speedway, Daily Press sports writer Adam Hinch got a chance to sit down with youth micro sprints driver Easton Winling for this week’s Q&A. Easton currently sits third in points. Easton also has three top five finishes in 2024 after only making one feature race in 2023 which he finished 11th. Easton will be back in action on August 12, 2024 for the UP State Fair races. Racing will get underway at 6 p.m.

Adam Hinch: What got you into racing?

Easton Winling: I like it and it’s a lot of fun.

AH: What is your favorite subject in school?

EW: Art.

AH: What is your favorite video game?

EW: Minecraft, because it’s fun.

AH: What do you like to do outside of racing?

EW: I like hunting.

AH: What is your favorite food?

EW: Deer meat.

AH: What other sports do you do besides racing?

EW: Baseball.

AH: Hamburgers or hot dogs?

EW: Hot Dogs.

AH: What is your favorite soda?

EW: Faygo orange.

AH: What is your favorite part of racing?

EW: Beating people and going fast.
