The Gladstone Indians Baseball Program will Award the 4th Annual Gladstone American Legion Christian Groleau Memorial Baseball Scholarship, to a 2024 Graduating Senior on Wednesday, July 3rd, prior to the 7:30 pm Game, between the Gladstone Senior Indians, and the Escanaba Senior Cubs, at Don Olsen Field in Gladstone.

The $500 Scholarship Winner will be selected based upon the following criteria: a true leader, on and off, of the field, always demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship, is highly motivated and helps motivate and inspire other team players.

The Scholarship Recipient must have played for the Gladstone Senior Indians during the 2023 season and currently in the 2024 Season.

Jim and Char Groleau, Christian’s Parents, will present the annual scholarship. Christian played for the Gladstone Senior Indians on the 2014 State Championship team.

The first scholarship recipient was Dayton Bernson in 2021. In 2022, Nick Martin was the scholarship recipient. Tyler Darmogray was awarded the scholarship in 2023.
