Manistique softball suffers doubleheader sweep to Pickford

PICKFORD –Manistique softball couldn’t keep the winning train rolling on Thursday, dropping both legs of a doubleheader to Pickford 6-0 and 4-0.

Manistique struggled at the plate against Pickford. The Panthers extended their lead in the bottom of the third on RBI ground outs by Anna Blenkhorn and Kaylie Crimnin.

Finley Hudeck earned the win for the Panthers, giving up no runs on two hits with four strikeouts and one walk.

In game two Laura Bush doubled to score a run and in the third inning, Blenkhorn singled to score a run and give the Panthers a 3-0 lead.

Laura Bush earned the win for the Panthers allowing no runs on three hits with four strikeouts and no walks.

Alexis McDade pitched both games for the Emeralds.
