Bark River-Harris baseball swept by Norway

BARK RIVER — Miscues and errors plagued Bark River-Harris baseball in a pair of losses, 9-0 and 12-1, against Norway on Monday.

The Knights Cole Baij was dominate on the mound in game one as he pitched a complete game shutout, allowing two hits and one walks with 10 strikeouts.

The Knights got on the board in the first inning with two runs off a pair of Bronco errors. Bryce Adams and Maddex Burlund each hit ground balls that scored a run and the Knights led 4-0 after one inning.

Norway added to their lead in the top of the second inning after Landon Amundson doubled to bring in a run and Alex Ortman scored a run on a ground ball to second base and the Knights extended the lead to 6-0.

Broncos junior Lucas Hall got the start on the mound and went four innings, allowing six runs on three hits with two strikeouts and three walks.

In game two Owen Baij finished 3-for-3 with two RBI and four runs scored for the Knights.

Alex Ortman pitched a complete game for the Knights allowing one run on five hits with 11 strikeouts and zero walks.

Dominick Lantagne pitched four innings for the Broncos in game two allowing seven runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and three walks.
