RAPID RIVER — The Rapid River Rockets girls basketball team (0-4) absorbed a 69-25 loss at the hands of the Engadine Eagles (4-2) Tuesday in Rapid River.

Megan Dausey had 16 of the points for the Rockets while Monica Thibault (5) and Natalie Snay (4) collected the remaining points.

The Eagles jumped on the Rockets early — outscoring them 17-6 in the opening quarter — and did not let up through the remainder of the game.

The Rockets return to play Jan. 7 against the Superior Central Cougars in Eben.
