ESCANABA — In Saturday’s edition of the Daily Press, it was printed that the Gladstone Braves varsity football team had not beaten the Escanab Eskymos in Escanaba since 1985.

This was not correct.

The last time the Braves won in Escanaba over the hometown Eskymos was in 2007.

The Friday, October 5 game hat year ended with Gladstone on top 42-41.

A stop by Gladstone’s Kent King on a two-point conmversion with 4:42 left in the game attempt by Escanaba’s Paul Theoret was the deciding play in that night’s offensive shootout.
