RIVER GROVE, IL — The Bay College Norse (1-1) women’s basketball team lost 53-77 Saturday to Triton College (1-1) in River Grove, Ill.

It was the second game of a two-game trip that opened with a Norse upset win against the Kankakee Cavaliers Friday.

The Trojans opened the game with 12 unanswered points, an advantage they would hold on to until the final buzzer sounded.

While the Norse only managed six points in the first quarter, their scoring improved throughout the game. In the second they scored 15 points while grabbing 16 in both the third and fourth quarters.

Holly Wardynksi led Bay in scoring with 16 points while Lauren Bloniarz (Perronville) had 11 rebounds and Cierra Molina 5 assists.

The Norse are slated to face Bryant and Stratton College next Saturday, though a location for that game has not been announced.
