The Escanaba Competitive Cheer team placed eighth in the state after scoring 726 points at Saturday’s state finals in Grand Rapids. Richmond won the state title with 784.28 points. Esky team members are Annika Wangrud, Haylee Tolman, Hailey Teal, Jaden Stankowicz, Carsyn Segorski, Alivia Royer, Emily Moore, Natalie Monkevich, Allie Larson, Faith Lancour, Nina Kregelka, Emma Johnson, Mikara Hughes, Karina Hiltunen, Violet Hawn, Mary Groleau, Kylee Forshey, Glykeria Economopoulos, Aleah Derusha, Chasity Brown, Kendra Boosamra, Makaela Babb and Daelynn Anderson. The team is coached by Sam Griebel.
