Broncos speed past Superior Central

HARRIS — Everybody got to play for the Bark River-Harris girls here Thursday night in a 56-16 basketball victory over the Superior Central Cougars.

The Broncos led 14-2 after the first quarter and 30-7 at halftime of the Skyline Central Conference outing.

“It was nice to see everybody get a chance to play and they all scored,” said BR-H coach Matt Richer. “It’s nice to get everybody quality minutes. Everybody played almost half the game. We played good early, then we just got sloppy. Although, everyone had fun.”

Grace Peterson scored 10 points. Cara Zawacki hit nine points and Allison Richer had seven assists for the Broncos (9-7 overall, 8-4 SCC), who hit 20-of-55 field goals and committed nine turnovers.

Madison Tyner led the Cougars (1-15 overall, 0-12 league) with seven points.

BR-H, which won the jayvee game 47-35, visits Norway Monday. The Cougars host Munising Monday.
