SAULT STE. MARIE — The Bay College women jumped on the Lake Superior State jayvees quickly in a 106-12 basketball rout here Sunday night.

Bay led 28-2 after the first quarter and 55-4 at halftime.

The Norse (14-6) were led by Trisch McGuire, who scored 16 of her 22 points in the second half. Madison Olsen added 17. Lauryn Bloniarz hit a career-high 16 and Cierra Molina collected a career-best 11. JuliAnn Wickman also scored 11 and Marissa Ackerman had 10, all in the second half.

Kirby Harrison-Alcorn had six points for the Lakers (0-6), who were limited to three baskets and five free throws.

The Norse host Finlandia University Saturday at 1 p.m.
