The elementary/junior high cross country season wrapped up Saturday with U.P. Finals held at Beauchamp’s Grove in Flat Rock. The Gladstone girls (left) came home with the title with a score of 51 over St. Francis de Sales (52), Escanaba (65), North Central (82), and Manistique (142). The Escanaba boys (right) took the trophy with a score of 32 over Gladstone (46), Manistique (112), AuTrain (178), Superior Central (197), and St. Francis de Sales (198). Escanaba’s Joseph Carlson won the boys race, followed by Walker Gierke of Manistique and Kaden Malone of North Central. Maya Carlson of St. Francis won the girls race, followed by Kyra Carlson of St. Francis and Kierra McDonald of Superior Central. A total of 60 boys and 53 girls ran.
